Our Trip

Our whole family enjoyed a trip to Grand Cayman in January. Such a nice time of year to get away from the New England winter! I spent the time on the plane crocheting a little Greyhound named "Happy". This was a special order and a portion of each Greyhound sale is donated to our local Greyhound adoption group.

Of course, the week was not all work. My grandaughters were the most beautiful mermaids on the beach wearing their new mermaid tails from kikisthings.etsy.com. They enjoyed modeling their tails on our balcony.

Sitting here today in the middle of a three day rain/slush/snow storm, I needed to remember that somewhere the sun is shining and spring will be here soon. Here are a few of our vacation memories.

We are so thankful to be able to share this time together. God is so good when He allows us to spend time enjoying His creation. I count my blessings every day and each day I am amazed anew at the ways the Lord continues to work in my life and how He meets my needs and continues to work in my life. I have so much to be thankful for. I am especially thankful for Etsy and for the fellowship I have found on my Etsy team, Team CAC (Christian Artists and Crafters). I will posting pictures of a new creation I made using a pattern I bought from delightedhands3113.etsy.com later today. She has a great shop - stop by and visit her!

Grand Cayman

We love the island of Grand Cayman and visit as often as we can. In August , 2009, we were evacuated from the island due to the approach of Hurricane Gustav. We were impressed with the preparations of our timeshare resort, but it was a bit disconcerting to return from a beautiful trip to Stingray City to find windows boarded up and the beach empty.

We have visited twice since August and each time gets better!
