Behind the Scenes at UYC ...

Some of you may not be familiar with the process of spinning yarn or weaving on a triangle loom. Today I have decided to show you some pictures of this process. Most of these were taken at our brick & mortar shop. Cory is spinning and I am finishing off one of our triangle shawls. We have a crocheted shawl in our shop made from the yarn Cory is spinning in the first pictures. We also have several woven triangle shawls in our shop. Come in and take a look!

She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.

Looking Back at the Days of Summer

My Family at Play!

Only two more days of summer! As always, here in New England, summer disappears too fast. I was looking through some of the pictures we took this summer in New Hampshire and decided to share them with you so you can see the faces behind our Etsy shop. Here are some pictures of my daughter and granddaughters. My husband, son-in-law, and son avoided the camera. Of course, I was behind the camera and not in any pictures. This is what we do when we are not spinning yarn, crocheting, or working on our shop!

THE END OF A BUSY DAY

We are thankful for the blessings that we have each and every day. Each day is a gift from the Lord and we look forward to what He has planned for us!

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Redeeming the Time

We have enjoyed several weeks of vacation and are getting ready for the change of season. I took this picture last weekend on the Kancamangus Highway in New Hampshire. The foliage was just starting to change and should be near peak this weekend.

I love this time of the year. Crisp, sunny days and cool nights. We were able to walk along a crystal clear stream and over a covered bridge in our quest to spot a moose.

In our Etsy shop we are busy making and listing new products. As the weather changes, we all need warm and snuggly clothes. Cory is busy spinning yarn and preparing fiber. She has several beautiful spinning wheels. We will feature them here on our blog in the near future.

Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
